The Building & Zoning Department provides quality service to the community in a manner that is comprehensive, efficient, and knowledgeable. The Building & Zoning Department performs all required inspections for building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire and life safety, gas piping, energy, flood plain, grading, excavation, signs, and utility construction.
All Inspection request are now 24-hour notice. We ask you call between the hours of 9:00am – 1:00pm to schedule inspections for the following business day.
To schedule an inspection, please call 712-847-0535 to speak with our Office. We do not recommend leaving a message for setting up an inspection. If you leave a message for an inspection, do not assume it is set up unless we confirm with you.

Please note that on all construction projects, final inspections must be performed and approved, and a Certificate of Occupancy must be issued prior to occupancy of any new construction project.
